The California Residential Efficiency Saturation Tool
|
|
|
The California Lighting and Appliance Saturation Study database provides
baseline information on residential appliance, equipment and lighting
saturations and efficiencies. The original study was completed in 2000.
An update was completed in 2005. The overarching goal for the studies is to
provide an accurate baseline in order to understand future energy savings
potential and past accomplishments in the residential sector.
|
| |
|
The tool was created so that utility program planners,
evaluators and other interested parties can query the databases online.
It calcualtes all averages to reflect the characteristics of interest and the
underlying sampling, so that the resulting statistics are representative of
the population of residences in California. The software also calculates
sample sizes and error bounds (at the 90% level of confidence).
